For our commercial clients, that may mean understanding a contractor's operations, reviewing insurance requirements in a contract, or helping a business navigate coverage as it grows. For our personal insurance clients, it means helping protect the homes, vehicles, recreational assets, pets, and other things that are part of everyday life.

As an independent agency, EMD offers something that's increasingly difficult to find: a direct relationship with the agent handling your insurance. There aren't layers of departments or a different person every time you call. You work directly with an agent who gets to know you, your business, and your insurance needs.

Meet Your Agent

Hi, I'm Lora.

I'm the founder and licensed insurance agent behind EMD Insurance Solutions — and interestingly, EMD isn't where my insurance story began.

I started my career in Texas, spending my first seven years in personal lines insurance, with a primary focus on auto insurance. That experience gave me my foundation in the insurance industry and taught me early on the importance of helping clients understand what they're buying — not simply handing them a policy.

My career eventually took me beyond insurance and into business-to-business sales and marketing, where I began working directly with business owners and entrepreneurs.

That path ultimately led me into the government contracting industry, working alongside small businesses and government contractors as they navigated contracting opportunities, registrations and certifications, market positioning, and the requirements that come with pursuing and performing government contracts.

A different perspective the second time around.

Over the years, I gained a perspective on small business that extends far beyond insurance. I've seen businesses pursue their first government opportunity, win contracts, grow their operations, encounter new requirements, and figure out how to protect what they've worked so hard to build.

Eventually, my career brought me back to insurance. This time, however, I returned with years of experience sitting on the other side of the conversation — working directly with the types of businesses and contractors I would eventually insure.

That's what led me to create EMD Insurance Solutions. Today, I bring together my insurance background, B2B experience, and years working with small businesses and government contractors to help EMD's commercial clients better understand their insurance options and requirements.

And with EMD now offering personal insurance in Florida and Texas, my career has come full circle. I'm once again helping individuals and families with their personal insurance needs — including auto insurance, where my insurance career first began.
